On Cats

Cats are fascinating creatures. I’ve lived with several (that I can remember). They have taught me to be more selfless and more understanding towards others.

The first was a loud, vocal, curmudgeon, who would remind me to feed him, clean out his litterbox and to pet him. Sir Socks was great, even if he did find me silly.

Miss Isis was a sweet cat who died a month after Sir Socks. She was only three years old. I felt like she was the friend that I didn’t get a chance to know better.

This cat was my darling son, Spot, whom I bottle fed when he was quite young. He called me mama. He was just as silly as I can be.

My current cat, is Lady Nuria, a rescue from a cat shelter. She is playful and loving.
